The dabbling duck that we call a common teal (officially, it’s an Anas Crecca) gets its name from the 13th century German word for a ‘brood’ or ‘flock’. The web-footed water birds have unique blue-green spots around their eyes, where the colour teal got its name from.
The duck from which the teal took its name contrasts its blue-green markings with cream, white, and black highlights. Consider taking decoration inspiration from nature and using this beautiful palette wherever you’re looking to create a calming, tranquil space in your home.
