Heleen uses her passion for colour to help people make good colour choices for their homes, designing colour tools to help make those decisions easier. She also takes great pleasure every year in managing the creation of the AkzoNobel annual colour style predictions, Colour Futures.

Before joining the Global Aesthetics Center, Heleen was educated at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, Netherlands and then worked in the world of magazines for 20 years, as an interior stylist and design editor.
